Fish farming supplier AKVA group has confirmed that it will deliver a smolt facility for land-based salmon farmer Laxey after the Icelandic company raised €47 million in an over-subscribed share offer.

Laxey announced the successful fund-raise today.

“The realisation of the contract and AKVA’s delivery was subject to Laxey obtaining the necessary financing. This condition was lifted today following Laxey’s announcement that the financing for the project is completed,” AKVA stated in a market anouncement.

“The estimated contract value related to AKVA’s delivery is €28 million, whereof the first phase is approximately €14.5m.”
