Smolts in one of Andfjord Salmon's flow-through pools. Now there are fish in pool K3.

Fourth pool is put into operation by Andfjord Salmon

Land-based fish farmer Andfjord Salmon has successfully completed the first smolt stocking into pool K2 at its facility at Kvalnes on the island of Andøya, northern Norway.

Approximately 800,000 smolt with an average weight of around 110 grams have been stocked into the pool. The fish have adapted quickly and settled well in their
new surroundings, Andfjord said in a stock market announcement.

Pool K2 is Andfjord Salmon's fourth pool in operation, alongside pools K0, K1
and K3, and represents a significant step-up in production capacity at Kvalnes.
Including the yet-to-be-stocked K4, Andfjord has five pools now ready for operation, taking production capacity to 11,000 tonnes.

Scaling up capacity

"We are very pleased to bring a fourth pool into operation, further scaling up
production capacity and volumes at Kvalnes. The biological performance in our
three other operational pools has been solid throughout their respective
production cycles, and we look forward to replicating these healthy conditions
in pool K2," said Andfjord Salmon chief executive Martin Rasmussen.

Pool K2 will be operated in line with the company's combined post-smolt and
grow-out strategy, following the same operating model applied in pool K1 to
date. A portion of the fish will be sold early as post-smolts, while the
remaining fish will be grown to market size.

The grow-out salmon will subsequently be harvested in several batches at different weight intervals, in line with Andfjord Salmon's strategy of continuously optimising biomass density in the flow-through pools.
