Atlantic Sapphire increased harvest by 22% in Q3

Florida land-based salmon farmer Atlantic Sapphire harvested 1,427 tonnes (head on gutted) in the third quarter of this year, it said in a trading update.

That volume was 260 tonnes (22%) more than the 1,167 tonnes that the company harvested in the previous quarter.

During Q3, the net biomass gain was 1,741 tonnes live weight (Q2: 1,697t). Standing biomass at the end of the period was 3,215t live weight (Q2: 3,235t).

Realised average harvest weight in Q3 was 3.1 kg HOG, the same as in Q2.

The realised sales price in the quarter was US $8.58 per kg HOG, down from $9.27 per kg in the previous quarter.
