Cflow opens Iceland branch after positive experience with Salmon Garden project
Norway-based Cflow, which delivers integrated solutions for land-based and sea-based aquaculture, has opened a branch in Iceland.
The move follows its work on the Salmon Garden project, a 40,000-tonnes-per-year land-based fish farm being developed in three phases by seafood group Samherji Fiskeldi, which already operates six land-based hatcheries and fish farms in Iceland.
Thomas Håberg, sales manager at Cflow, said the project has been particularly important for Cflow’s commercial development in the market.
“Our collaboration with Samherji Fiskeldi and the delivery to Salmon Garden have been an important gateway into the Icelandic market. It confirms that our solutions meet the requirements of some of the most experienced and competent players in the industry,” he explained.
Close collaboration
By establishing a local branch, Cflow will be closer to customers, projects, and decision-making processes in the Icelandic market, the company said. This creates better conditions for close collaboration throughout the entire project lifecycle.
It is at this intersection of advanced process technology and demanding project execution that the company delivers the greatest value for land-based facilities, Cflow said.
“We experience Icelandic industry players as highly competent and very accessible to work with. There is a short distance from decision to action, combined with clear expectations for quality at every stage,” said Håberg.
“Close collaboration and a strong understanding of customer needs are essential to succeed in complex projects, and this is where we see the greatest value in our investment in Iceland.”
Cflow chief executive Stig Bjørkedal said: “Iceland is a market we strongly believe in. The country has a progressive aquaculture industry, a high level of technological maturity, and strong players with high expectations for quality and execution. This aligns well with what Cflow stands for."
