Norwegian water treatment expert Aquaservice has hired Adam Ashton-Burrows as its UK service director in what it described as a “scoop”.

Ashton-Burrows has more than 15 years of practical experience working with UV-products, systems and concepts from ATG UV Technology, Evoqua Water Technologies and recently as technical manager UK & Ireland for Xylem Water Solutions.

“We are thrilled to have Adam with us,” said Aquaservice chief executive Asgeir Skogstad in a press release. “His experience and knowledge are perfect for us moving heavily into the UK and European UV (ultraviolet) market, following another strong hire with (UK sales director) Duncan Ockendon in August this year. We see huge potential in the UK market, which is underpinned by these strong hires.”

Customer care

Ashton-Burrows will have overall responsibility for service, maintenance and customer care regarding the Aquaservice UV-range, with particular focus on aquaculture and pool/leisure markets. UV is used for water disinfection.

Although Aquaservice’s recently registered subsidiary, Aquaservice Water Engineering UK Ltd, is located at Chinnor, Oxfordshire, it has a strong focus on the Scottish aquaculture market.

“Adam’s expertise will help us elevate our service delivery and ensure we continue to exceed customer expectations,” said Aquaservice UK managing director Diane White. “With over 15 years’ experience in the water treatment industry and a strong background in UV technology and operational excellence, customer service innovation, and team development, Adam will be crucial to our ambitions for the UK and European markets.”
