Proximar’s former COO to leave the company

Proximar Seafood’s Dharma Rajeswaran is leaving the company at the end of the month after stepping down as chief operating officer earlier this year.

Rajeswaran has been with the Norwegian-owned Japanese land-based salmon farm for more than four and a half years, before which he worked at Miami, Florida, land-based salmon farmer Atlantic Sapphire, serving as COO and chief of staff.

Announcing his move on LinkedIn, he said: “We built a world-class team together, and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved. I wish the entire Proximar team all the best moving forward. Now, I am officially available for new adventures!”

Since April, Rajeswaran has been a farming adviser with the company, after making what he described as a a transition “from corporate-wide execution to specialised, on-the-ground strategic guidance”.

Proximar appointed Martin Vestergaard as the new COO in March to lead operations as the company transitions into full-scale commercial production.
