The magazine is being launched at Seafood Expo in Barcelona and will be available there in print format, alongside a fresh issue of Fish Farming Expert.

The lead article in this inaugural edition addresses the question: "Land-based salmon farming – stuck in transition or poised for a breakthrough?"

Land-based salmon farming has long been heralded as a sustainable alternative to traditional net-pen farming. Using recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), producers can grow fish with minimal environmental impact and enhanced biosecurity. But while the vision is clear, progress has been uneven across the globe.

This issue takes a closer look at key geographic regions for industrial land-based farming. Readers will also find an overview of land-based facilities and projects worldwide.
